Thank you for your participation in the first onsite AIT Career Fair yesterday, 26 October 2022 after 2 years- post pandemic. Your active support and onsite participation in this event is sincerely appreciated. As we continue to host the companies who still wish to promote their career opportunities, we are pleased to invite you to the 8th Tik Talk session on 2 November 2022 (Wednesday) by Zoom.
Representatives of 2 organizations from Bangkok University, a prominent creative university and one of the oldest and most famous private universities in Thailand offering a wide range of international programs and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s largest, oldest and most diverse environmental organization – with 91 state members and over 1,300 government agencies and non-government and civil society organizations, will share about their profiles and career/internship opportunities. Speakers Profile:
Dr. Duangthida Nunthapirat
Dr. Duangthida is the Dean of Bangkok University’s International Programs. During her undergraduate studies, Duangthida acquired an interest in tourism and hospitality. She subsequently enrolled in a Post Graduate Diploma program in Montreux, Switzerland, and worked at hotels and restaurants across the country, as well as the United Kingdom and Thailand. Dr. Duangthida began her career as a teacher in 2002, instructing students on a range of subjects related to the hotel and tourism sectors. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Birmingham in 2001 and a Ph.D. from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom in 2014. Dr. Duangthida served on the Hotel Standards Committee where she monitored and assessed the hotels’ standards prior to assigning them a star rating. In 2018, Dr. Duangthida was appointed Dean of the School of Humanities and Tourism Management and in April 2019, she was appointed Dean of the International Programs at Bangkok University.
Dr. Dindo Campilan
Dr. Campilan manages IUCN’s Asia and Oceania hub, which serves 48 countries in the region. He leads IUCN’s regional portfolio of collaborative projects and activities providing science-based knowledge, tools and solutions for the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources. Earlier, Dr. Campilan worked with United Nations agencies and CGIAR international research centers – from Latin America to Asia — in agriculture, food and environment research and development. Dr Campilan holds a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
