Work Schedule: 5 working days per week; Flexible working hours (7 hours 45 minutes)

Job Description:
As a data scientist, you will be involved in various products and manufacturing processes, and you will work on problem solving at AGC group in the ASEAN region. Initially, you will work in Japan and acquire skills in data science. In the future, we envision you working at our group companies in Thailand or other ASEAN countries.
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Optimize decision-making and automate processes in the AGC Group through data science, creating new business opportunities, handling research and development, and deploying products internally.
- Manage end-to-end processes, including requirement definition, development, implementation, and operation, utilizing data science for problem-solving. Propose research and development themes, such as collaborations with academia for problem solving.
- Contribute to curriculum formulation for in-house data scientist training.

Skills & Qualifications:
We are looking for a team member with the following profile:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information Engineering, Computational Science, Data Science or related fields
Language Ability: English: Business level, Japanese: JLPT N2, Thai: Native level
Qualifications:
- Programming experience in either Python, Rust, or C++ is required
- Possesses clear, logical thinking
- Commands excellent communication skills
- Appreciates diversity and is open-minded to different perspectives and individuals
- Extensive internship/attachment experience in related roles
