This section answers common questions about internships, job opportunities, career events, and support services offered by the AIT Career Center. Whether you're exploring career options or preparing for your next step, these FAQs will help guide you through the process.
How can I find job or internship opportunities through the Career Center?
You can explore job and internship listings by visiting the Career Opportunities menu on the Career Center website or by following our regular announcements via email and social media platforms. Opportunities are frequently updated and organized by field and experience level to help you find the best match.
How do I apply for an internship or job?
Once you find an opportunity that interests you, carefully follow the application instructions outlined in the listing. This usually involves submitting a CV, cover letter, and any additional documents as specified by the employer.
Can the Career Center help me prepare my CV or cover letter?
Yes! We offer personalized one-on-one support to help you write, review, and refine your CV and cover letter. You can schedule an appointment with us through the Booking An Appointment system.
When am I eligible to apply for internships?
Students are generally eligible for internships after completing one semester, depending on their program. Internship availability and timing vary, but most students are ready for internships between January–April (January Intake) or August–November (August Intake).
How long should my internship be?
Most internships should last at least 3 months and cover a minimum of 480 hours, depending on your program requirements and the host organization’s needs.
Is internship a graduation requirement?
In some programs, internships are a required component of the curriculum, while in others, they are optional but strongly recommended to gain practical experience and enhance employability.
Before applying for internship at the host enterprise, you are advised to seek your Academic Advisor’s feedback to ensure credit transfer for the required internship. Please also coordinate with your program coordinator/secretary to inform the program about your intention to do an internship and advice for recording the details of the internship in the SIS database.
