Procurement Officer

Position Description: The Procurement Officer, reporting to the Project Director through the Project Coordinator and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, is responsible for procurement of goods and
consulting and non-consulting services that are required for project delivery, following World Bank’s procurement regulations.

Duty Station: RIMES Program Unit, 2 nd Floor Outreach Building, 58 Moo 9 Paholyothin Rd., Klong

Nung, Klong Luang, Pathumthani, Thailand

Type of Contract: Project Staff
Remuneration and Benefits:

 Prefer Thai Nationality
 Monthly base salary negotiable, commensurate with qualifications
 Housing allowance
 Health, life insurance
 Annual leave allowance of 24 days

Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge

 At least Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, law, or related field
 Knowledge of the markets on ICT goods and consulting services, and sectoral experts in
Thailand, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan

Experience

 At least 3 years of experience in procurement or contract management
 Experience in World Bank’s Systematic Tracking of Exchanges in Procurement (STEP)
system is preferred, but not required
 Experience in working within development agencies is desirable

Skills and abilities

 Excellent communication and negotiating skills
 Proficiency in spoken and written English language
 Understanding and knowledge of basic computer applications such as MS Words, Excel
and data base management

Personal qualities

 Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines, and achieving
results
 Persistent when faced with challenges
 Takes ownership of all responsibilities of the position
