About the Job
Our Data & Technology Consultant will be responsible for leading the proposal, implementation and maintenance for at least one client solution. Solutions may range across many data domains, such as cloud migrations, data lake & warehouse development, business intelligence/insights, and advanced analytics & AI.
Key responsibilities of this role would be to serve as the link between internal and external stakeholders of a project from both business and technical domains, such as Senior Management, Business Development, and Technical Teams.
What are the responsibilities of a Data & Technology Consultant?
In this role, you will get to:
● Take full ownership over proposal deliverables such as solution approach, scope definition, analytics roadmaps, technical proposals, POC, SLA agreements etc
● Understand client pain points, business processes, and key decisions in order to identify relevant analytics & AI use cases that have clear value to the business
● Map out and interpret complex business & technical requirements into a clear and comprehensive definition of project scope, while collaborating effectively with internal & external technical teams to ensure technical feasibility and solution quality
● Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to facilitate technical planning & project implementation for end-to-end data solutions
● Develop appropriate schedule and manday estimates that support the business objectives, timelines, resources, milestones, and project deliverables
● Manage expectations and build trusted advisor relationships with internal and external stakeholders by regularly updating progress
● Identify project risks and find win-win solutions for issues as they arise
● Manage project implementation and support cross-functional delivery teams to achieve high quality deliverables within budget
● Oversee solution lifecycle planning and progress monitoring, including presenting and negotiating milestones, deliverables, and issues to all stakeholders
Requirements for this role are:
● 3+ years of work experience in consulting, big data/AI technology or relevant domains
● Ability to take a leadership role in a client-facing environment; comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders, from executives to working-team
● Able to translate complex data solutions into logical business frameworks that show benefit to real business applications and decision making
● Excellent communication and analytical skills
● Excellent organizational and people skills
● Strong data literacy fundamentals and comfortable learning new data/AI concepts
● Advanced proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced data professional with a strong technical background in data engineering, data architecture and cloud. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions that drive business value, help us make data-driven decisions, and improve customer experiences.
What are the responsibilities of a Senior Data Engineer?
In this role, you will get to:
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data solutions to meet those needs
● Design and build scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data
● Manipulate complex data from a variety of sources (e.g. API, SFTP, Databases, SAP, Google Analytics, etc.)
● Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness through data validation and error handling processes
● Maintain and monitor existing ETL pipelines and advising on necessary infrastructure changes
● Design and implement security and access control measures to protect sensitive data or comply with regulation such as PDPA
● Share your expertise across the team and mentor the junior/mid-level via code reviews, 1:1, workshops or knowledge sharing sessions, to enhance their technical skills and understanding of best practices
● Participate in recruitment in order to evaluate and interview candidates, as well as improving our recruitment processes
● Gather customer requirements during pre-sales interactions, determining project scope, creating technical diagrams, and making estimations for man-days and cloud costs

Requirements for this role are:
● 5+ years of experience in Data engineering in designing, building, maintaining data infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP or Azure
● Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala (Python preferred)
● Strong Experience with cloud based data lake solutions, such as S3, GCS or Data Lake Storage, and how to design and implement data lake architectures
● Strong Experience with data warehousing tools, such as Redshift, Synapse or BigQuery, and how to optimize data warehousing performance for large-scale data sets
● In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive (Spark preferred)
● Expertise in designing and implementing efficient ETL pipelines composed of a variety of data sources, and the ability to ensure data quality with a strong understanding of data integration and transformation techniques
● Experience working with orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Step functions or Azure Data Factory
● Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and transformation, demonstrating proficiency in optimizing query performance, understanding distributed query execution models, and utilizing advanced SQL concepts. (Spark preferred)
● Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code concepts, including experience with tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, Github pipelines and Gitlab CI
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
● Ability to scope projects, define architectures, and choose technologies based on project requirements
● Leadership skills and ability to mentor junior and mid-level Data engineers

● Holding certifications related to data engineering of cloud providers such GCP Data engineering, etc
