Siam Gypsum Industry

The Siam Gypsum Industry (SGI) or “Elephant Gypsum Board” was established in July 1982 to manufacture and supply gypsum wall and ceiling solutions. It categorizes Elephant Gypsum Board products into 6 categories: gypsum boards, gypsum tiles, metal profiles, gypsum compounds, gypsum partition systems, and accessories for walls and ceilings. In 2021, Elephant Gypsum Board changed its main shareholders and entered into a joint venture with Siam Cement Group (SCG), the leading innovative construction materials and chemicals company in Thailand and A Knauf Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of construction materials for interior design, building insulation, and design ceilings. The Knauf Group continues to operate as a family business and is present in over 90 countries with over 80 raw materials processing plants and over 300 manufacturing plants on five continents. In 2021, Knauf employed 40,000 employees worldwide.
