The Art of Effective Business Communication

July 2nd, the Yunus Center AIT will be hosting a workshop on “The Art of Effective Business Communication”, to be facilitated by YCA visiting expert Shahid Abrar-ul-Hassan. Interested students are welcome to attend. The workshop will be held in room 101 in the AIT Extension Building. All details and a complete workshop plan are detailed in the attached poster.

Bosch Automotive Thailand Field Trip, 8 May 2019

Fifty seven students participated in this field trip on 8 may 2019 and had a learning experience.  The program included Company  Introduction, group picture taking, plant-tour, query session followed by refreshments from the company.

 

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Field Trip, 8 May 2019


A field trip to Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, Chonburi was organized on  8 May 2019 and 57 students participated in this field trip. The program included Company Introduction, a video presentation, group picture taking, plant-tour and a query session .

Ichitan Tanland Field Trip, 2 April 2019

A field trip to Ichitan Thailand was organised on 2 April 2019 by AIT Career Center and 26 students participated in the trip. The program included a museum tour, over view of production process, students interaction and query session, followed by refreshments from the company.

Short bio:

Prior to working with Tetra Tech, Dr. Himesh Dhungel worked with the US government as Country Director (Nepal), Europe, Asia Pacific & Latin America Division for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC); had closed a $630 million power and road infrastructure-focused transaction, which included MCC’s $500 million investment for $130 million co-investment by Government of Nepal, which is the largest up-front contribution by any MCC compact country.

Dr. Himesh Dhungel has more than 25 years of professional experience in energy, finance, and international development with a track record of achievement. This includes 15 years of experience designing, implementing and overseeing international development projects worth $3 billion. He is a collaborator with a demonstrable record of working closely with U.S. Government agencies, bilateral and international financial institutions, foreign governments, private sector, and non-governmental organizations. Dr. Dhungel is also an effective and persuasive leader, who is laser-focused on delivering results.

 

He has in-country experience in: Armenia, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Indonesia, Nepal, Laos, India, Thailand, Paraguay, Canada, USA, Ukraine, and Ireland; and has overseen project development or implementation in: Benin, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Serbia, Albania, Macedonia, and Liberia.

Among the many important positions he has held, this included serving as the Senior Strategy Advisor, Infrastructure, Environment & Private Sector (IEPS) Division, Millennium Challenge Corporation; Country Director (Nepal), Europe, Asia Pacific & Latin America Division, Millennium Challenge Corporation; Millennium Challenge Corporation Practice Lead (Energy);  and Co-Founder and Managing Director, Hamilton Clark & Co.

He is currently the Vice President, Utility, Reform, and Transaction Advisory Service, Tetra Tech, USA,  from July 2018,  leading a team of senior technical experts overseeing project management and support; and recruitment of U.S.-based and international technical assistance staff.

Dr. Dhungel completed his Ph.D. in  Energy Economics, Energy Management and Policy Program from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA in 1996; his M.S. in Energy Planning and Policy, Energy Technology Program at the  Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand in 1990 and received his  B.Eng., Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, India in 1987.
