Job Position 1

Sustainability Manager

Job Purpose / Job Summary
The main purpose of the Sustainability manager is to ensure that resources are managed in a way that does not
compromise the environment or deplete the materials for future generations. The sustainability effort is also a key

component for our business to meet our customers’ requirements and to secure the company position on the long-
term.

This requires taking a lead role within the area. In leading and monitoring sustainability projects, in delivering
sustainable and low energy / low carbon projects, in communicating and ensuring proper reporting.
The role demands an understanding of engineering in relation to reuse, re-manufacturing, recycling, energy
monitoring & targeting, energy efficiency measures and the effects of carbon emissions and how to reduce them.

Project 

  • Drive sustainability projects in the area. Support action plan definitions, implementation tracking and reporting
  • Track and follow up data reporting (energy consumption and efficiency, Green House Gas emissions, water consumption, waste management…).
  • Use and Consolidate Knauf standardized reporting KPIs
  • Communicate with BUs and plants, ensure proper information sharing
  • Support Steerco preparations
  • Engage teams in sustainability actions, motivate teams, recognize good performance and support teams facing difficulties
  • Build up long sustainability roadmap for each single entity in the area

Technical 

  • In plants but also at country level, analyze and evaluate energy & CO2 reduction potentials in the plants by periodic audits and assessments
  • Support sustainability improvement actions in the area
  • Identifying sustainability risks and appropriate mitigation measures and highlighting any opportunities to improve sustainability performance.
  • Assist in preparing sustainability technology studies to support investment preparation · Assist, where necessary, planning and permitting approval applications.

Minimum Requirements  

Education background

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level) in a sustainable, environmental, or

and major engineering area

 

Work Experience

  • Experience in multinational and cross functional projects
  • Experience in sustainability
  • Experience in gypsum industry, process industry, construction material will be a plus

Knowledge Management skills:

  • Project management
  • Change Management: good communication& motivation of plant teams,

organizing trainings

  • Adapting communication to various levels (plant, administration, technical  teams, top management…)

Technical skills:  

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in sustainability
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge on one (or more) following fields:  Thermodynamic, thermal processing and industrial processing ,Combustion , Steam , Electricity optimization and management , Global energy optimization,  Waste management
  • Perform Energy audits at site level and strong analytics capabilities
  • Experience with data recording and analysis

Able to look for state of the art of energy efficiency technologies and

sustainability technologies from other industries and public domain

Job Position 2

Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Purpose / Job Summary

Continuous Improvement Manager leads the development of Continuous Improvement for Thailand Manufacturing activities, primarily focused within Industrial performance areas, and provides specialist support to the Manufacturing plants as required, to improve performance, driven by business needs. Ensuring that CI activities are supporting the engagement and empowerment of our employees. In addition to facilitating improvement activities with the teams, all interventions will provide dedicated training activities that ensure that team skills are enhanced when it comes to developmental and process skills.

Key Responsibilities

General 

  • Lead the development of CI with Knauf technology
  • Identify areas of improvement & build business cases
  • Coordinate the CI initiatives in the entity
  • Provide expertise and support to managers & teams (train, coach, review)
  • Facilitate CI Workshops: learning by doing
  • Develop CI skills & autonomy of local employees
  • Develop & manage a set of standards, templates, framework, tools
  • Support / Manage a CI communication
  • Support / Manage change effectively
  • Support plants locally if special projects arise.

Manufacturing / Shop Floor

  • Ensure all plants develop effective cascaded daily Meetings (targets, priorities, performance, coordination & support)
  • Facilitate Problem solving, have effective Root Cause Analysis system in all plants.
  • Ensure plants follow layered audit system (5S, Process Verification & Safety Observation)
  • Support / Deploy good practices or standard work (Procedures, Work Instructions…)
  • Support / Conduct formal CI maturity assessments
  • Support implementation of TPM (AM & PM)
  • Support SQDC KPI visual tracking and cascade throughout the plant (Including OEE)

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an industrial or business discipline (preferred).
  • Qualification in Lean Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma or Manufacturing technical shop floor experience or Green Belt or Black belt.
  • A clear and demonstrable track record of personal development in the workplace.
  • Build stakeholder relationship & team player.
  • A leadership and communication style that motivates and engages both individuals and teams.
  • Demonstrably significant skill enhancement tools that are preferably aligned with Six Sigma Techniques.
  • A demonstrable pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • Good working knowledge of digital tools which support CI activities.
  • Familiarity with modern industry standards and knowledge of digital tools.
  • Good command of English.
