The firm works to support the acceleration of clean energy deployment, with a focus on markets in Asia and the Pacific. ACE Partners supports the design and scale-up of effective initiatives, with a focus in four main areas: (a) creating insights through research and analytics; (b) designing and packaging projects and initiatives; (c) connecting stakeholders with the knowledge, technologies, and finance to achieve results; and (d) building communities of practice through targeted communications and events. ACE Partners is currently seeking Project Managers to support the delivery of a growing body of clean energy work in its operations, with a primary focus on Southeast Asia.

The following job openings are currently available at the company.

1. Project Managers

Project Managers lead on operational aspects of project delivery that include planning, research, and analysis for the company in different disciplines within clean energy.
Project Managers also take overall responsibility for project execution from inception and ensure that projects are executed according to client expectations. They oversee research that contributes to analytical studies and communications materials for the company, including commissioned reports, material on the company website including blogs and occasional research papers, social media, electronic brochures and mailers, and related materials.

The main tasks of a Project Manager will include but not be limited to the following:

Project Management, Strategy, and Operations

    • Managing multiple projects in line with expectations of clients’ and the Managing Partners.
    • Developing and managing detailed project timelines, overall work plans and utilizing appropriate team resources to ensure the successful project delivery.
    • Monitoring progress of projects closely and making adjustments as appropriate.
    • Contributing to company strategy and new business acquisition.

2. Project Associates

Project Associates support research and analysis efforts on client projects, including surveys, reports, technical analysis and policy advisory in the area of clean energy. They also support research that contributes to communications materials for the company, including the company website, social media, electronic brochures and mailers, and related materials.

The main tasks of a Project Manager will include but not be limited to the following:

Project Management, Strategy, and Operations

    • Assist in managing projects in line with expectations of clients and the Managing Partners.
    • Support Project Managers in development of project timelines, work plans, and project monitoring, in order to ensure the successful project delivery.
    • Contribute to company strategy and new business acquisition as requested.
    • Research, data gathering, and analysis to support development and implementation of management systems, strategy, planning, and operations for the company.

Project Manager and Associate Scope of Work and Detailed Tasks

Research and Technical Analysis

    • a. Outreach to clients to understand their specific needs in order to design insightful clean
      energy research and knowledge products.
      b. Research and analysis covering clean energy technologies, policies, financing initiatives,
      and institutional mechanisms, with the aim to provide understanding and insight for clients
      and to build the knowledge base of ACE Partners.
    • Research, analysis and writing to support preparation of research briefs, documents, and reports prepared for clients or for public distribution.
    • Research to support development of business proposals and expressions of interest for new work and contracts.

Communications and Partnerships

    • Research and data-gathering to support updating of company communications, including
      the company website and any project websites, social media posts, press releases, blogs,
      news items, emails, and other electronic communications.
    • Research and data-gathering to support outreach to, and partnerships with, companies
      and organizations working on clean energy issues in Asia and to related stakeholders
      active on these issues.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Previous work experience with technical assignments in the power sector, and the energy sector more broadly, including renewable energy and/or energy efficiency, is strongly preferred. Experience working with a range of private sector, non-profit, and government actors in Southeast Asia will be helpful to successfully carry out the work. In terms of academic studies, the candidate should preferably have an advanced university degree in energy, economics, engineering, physical or social sciences, or a related field, with international experience in the field of energy, engineering, or a related area.

    • Minimum Related Experience: 5-8 years
    • Regional/Country Experience: Experience in Asia required, and experience specifically in Southeast Asia is preferred.
    • Location: Applicant must be based in the ASEAN Region and have the right to live and
      work in their country of domicile, with a preference for Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Reporting
The Project Manager and Associate will report directly to the Managing Partners of ACE Partners.
