Internship Opportunity at Letongku Health Station
A health station under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Sirindhorn aims to provide integrated basic public health services (both medical treatment and first aid), health promotion and rehabilitation, and prevention and surveillance, to community villagers in remote rural areas. At present, there are 23 Health Stations under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess i.e. 16 attached to the Border Patrol Police School, 5 attached to the Border Patrol Police Learning Center, and 2 others situated in specific areas in Nan Province.
Research opportunities for its masters and doctoral students to support the Letongku community. Interested students can conduct their research work in areas that would be beneficial to the local community. These may be in the areas of improving nutrition, sustainable farming (vegetables and fishery), energy, etc. Villagers in the area have been found to have protein-calorie malnutrition which can result in cleft lip and cleft palate among newborn babies.
