Job summary ·         To take care for selling products and solutions, participate in sales and marketing strategies development, key account management and project management.

·         To identify customers and develop a portfolio for the market

·         Leverage the available portfolio from DKSH Thailand wherever possible

·         To promote company’s product portfolio for up to 4 Industry Clusters (Beverage & Dairy, Processes Food, Functional Ingredients, Confectionary & Bakery) as well as Specialty Chemicals (Paints & Coatings; Polymers) to new customers so as to achieve sales target as set by superior

Essential responsibilities (total 100%)
General responsibilities Strategy and plan

  • Continuously identify, develop and explore new business opportunities with all customers to achieve the sales target.
  • Execute the company sales & marketing strategy.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.

Customer & project management

  • Arrange meetings with customers to identify opportunities, introduce our portfolio and start projects
  • Listen to customer requirements and present appropriate products and solutions
  • Summarise customer visit report immediately after the visit
  • Capture customer visits and projects in DKSH’s state of the art Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – tool “Salesforce.com”, immediately after each visit
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and emails
  • Service existing customers and always identify new opportunities

Offer & Sell

  • Make accurate quotations to customers considering all commercial aspects (incoterms, payment term, margin…)
  • Negotiate prices with customers & suppliers to optimize our margin
  • Sell

Product management

  • Record sales and order information and brief customer service officer.
  • Forecast demand from customers to order from suppliers
  • Follow up the shipment status.
  • Manage stock at point of sales to ensure product availability

Supplier Management

  • Act as a contact between a customer and supplier/clients.
  • Negotiate on price and costs, delivery and specifications with suppliers.
  • Liaising with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders and new orders.
  • Obtain proper registrations (import licences) and determine import duties

Job requirements
Skills and knowledge ·         Excellent command of English (verbal & written) and computer literacy.

·         Have an own car and driving license

·         A passion to (over-) achieve the sales target

Soft skills ·         Good communication and interpersonal skill

·         Self-starter

·         Able to work under pressure

Education Bachelor/ Master degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related science field.
Work experience Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in food and/or chemical sales

May have laboratory and/or quality control background
